Simon Lorenz wins Ocean Geographic Photo Journalist Award for Oustanding Achievement

We are extremely proud that Simon Lorenz, our founder and lead tour guide, has won the Ocean Geographic - Pictures of the Year "Photo Journalist Award for Oustanding Achievement" Award for his story on Julie Hartup "Manta Mom".

It,s the story of Julie who grew up as a Mormon in Utah and is now in her mid forties as a mother of four working on her PhD on a Manta Population of Guam. She has discovered that the Manta Rays of Guam have learned and remembered the specific times and locations of reef fish spawning aggregations and come in to feed on the spawn.

The story has already appeared in TAUCHEN, Action Asia, Dive UK and will feature in several other publications to come.
