ITINERARY
When it comes to scuba in Thailand there is only place that is worldwide known for great diving - the Similan Islands in the Andaman Sea. We have secured a perfect slot in the best season and right over Easter allowing for a perfect break with minimal time off work.
THE REGION
Join Insider Divers to the Similan Islands in Thailand. Home to the healthiest reefs and the best marine life in Thailand. The world famous marine park Mu Ko Similan has been under protection since the eighties and has therefore maintained good reef cover and plentiful fish stocks.

Reef sharks and leopard sharks are very common as well as many schooling fish. But the famous pelagics such as Manta Rays and even the Whaleshark can be spotted here on occasion as well.
The key season is December to May and particularly in March and April we have the clearest, warmest and calmest waters allowing for the best diving that this region has to offer.

THE DIVING
During our trip we will dive mostly 4 times a day including night dives so on this 4 night trip we will manage to do 14 dives, weather permitting.
​
We will dive Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and of course Richelieu Rock as well as Khao Lak wrecks. All of these are of cours weather permitting but April is one of the calmest months of the year.

THE BOAT
The Junk is part of the World Wide Dive and Sail group that owns the brands Blue o Two, Master and Siren. You can expect to be perfectly catered for in this stylish converted wooden Chinese sailing junk with great food and lovely ambiance. Diving of two speed boats we will be diving very comfortably. Every room as individual aircon and private batch. For those wanting to save a few bucks or travel with friends we have a quad and a triple available.

TOUR LEADER
Your tour leader on this trip is Simon Lorenz, underwater photographer and instructor and founder of Insider Divers. He will assist you throughout the trip and coach you on your diving and photographic skills as well as give talks about flora and fauna. We want to point that this is Simon's first trip to the Similan Islands.​

DATES
The dates are perfect season for Similan Islands and making use of the Easter Holidays.
Embark 3rd April 18-19:00 and disembark on 7th April 2023 1-2pm (after two dives).
​
Flight recommendation to land on 3rd April or 2nd April if coming from far. Departure on 8th so you do not miss out on the diving on the 7th April. Optionally we will book a nice beach hotel for us to chill out the last evening and morning of the 8th April.

The founder of Insider Divers aims to create group trip experiences with that extra special something. He aims to find unusual experiences, unusual sites and meet and greets with local experts.
A scuba instructor and reknown photo coach he offers additional training during the trips to those interested. On all Insider Divers trips he will host talks, video screenings and workshops to enhance your understanding of the animals that we encounter.
